The fan translation of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (DS), released on August 8th, 2008, was one of the very few fan translated Mario games to actually use the official translation names for Mario characters.
The only Mario character who did not follow the official S. Chinese translation was Princess Daisy, for she did not appear in a S. Chinese game until year 2012 (Mario Kart 7).
Fan: 黛西公主 (黛西 =Daisy, transliterated)
Official: 菊花公主 (菊花 = Chrysanthemum)
This does match her T. Chinese name.
