Macao man was found smuggling 625 Nintendo Switch cartridges at Gongbei Port of China.
Unlike most previous news on confiscating videogame "importing", this piece was news was somehow positively received by gamers in China.
Replying to @chinesenintendo
One possible reason is that there has been a long time issue of sellers resealing cartridges in knock-off cases and sell them off as new. This has plagued Switch games in China so much that lots of people have written articles on how to tell official boxes from custom ones.
Replying to @chinesenintendo
Another possible reason is that the Switch has attracted lots of new gamers, and many of them are unaware of the grey market "import" nature of the games they're holding. Only 3 out of ALL Nintendo Switch games (and only ONE physical) are officially released in China.
