Several Tencent Nintendo Switch owners have indpendently reported a bizzare glitch when playing import games: The Nintendo Switch logos and black bars linger on screen until the game is restarted.
Seems to happen by chance and there's not known certain way to reproduce the bug.

"Tencent Nintendo Switch false advertisement" become the newest popular complaint at a consumer complaint collection service in China.
Replying to @chinesenintendo
As the Consumer Rights day (March 15th) draws near and Tencent still playing dead, willingly or not, with their one-gamed library and crippled online services, many of those who bought the Tencent Nintendo Switch are gathering their complaints.

Not the first time a Nintendo product failed its promise to Chinese consumers either:

I personally agree. The fact that TXNS was released with only one game and the fact that both SMO and MK8D were heavily promoted, AND SMO amiibos were released, it's most likely that Tencent intended to have all 3 titles available at launch but crippled by slow game approval.
Replying to @NovaGT7
However, the old unreleased games (the 12 iQue GBA protos in particular) were shelved not because they failed to get approved, but rather because of piracy.
All iGBA prototypes have ISBN, which means they are approved by the gov.
2020 is quite a different situation than 2007.
A consumer complaint on the Tencent Nintendo Switch:
Mr Wang: "The TXNS does not have as many games as they claimed. They promised new games 'in a few weeks', but there's no new games as of late February, 2020. This is false advertising tricking consumers to buy the product."

It's an unannounced delay due to the virus and the Chinese government halting/slowing its game approval process because of that. However, from the consumer's perspective Tencent has indeed failed its promise of delivering those games in a few weeks.
Replying to @phoenix_wrights
Pretty much. The consumers have their reasons to complain but I'm pretty sure the guys in the Switch department are pulling their hair over the situation.
Replying to @SeafoamGaming and @phoenix_wrights
I'm pretty sure at these point all those who're upset about the TXNS would probably only be expecting a compensation so they could get a import model.
As unfortunately, having the gov change their decision on game approval could be pretty difficult in China.
Replying to @DerekRumpler, @SeafoamGaming and @phoenix_wrights
All TXNS consoles are of the new hardware so they're not moddable at the moment. But once the Mariko Switch's defenses got torn down it would probably be a floodgate for TXNS users going to mod their consoles.
Replying to @DerekRumpler, @SeafoamGaming and @phoenix_wrights
You can't redeem coins probably because this combo is not released in the US (thus a US account would not recognize this game).
Had it been a TXNS game, the cartridge code would end in CHN and you will not even be able to play the game on a non-Tencent Switch.

The lower left "0+" is a Taiwanese rating symbol. Some companies seem to ship South East Asian English with Taiwan Chinese in the same game medium, possibly because they're regionally close to each other.

There were actually a few games approved in late February, but all of them were domestic games.
The last list of approved import game was released in November 2019, which was before the virus broke out.

It used to be the case before Mario Tennis Aces. However, after this game, many Mario enemies ditched their original Simplified Chinese translation in favor of the Traditional Chinese ones.
