Hong Kong Nintendo Account users will be able to purchase software directly from the eShop following an update this winter.

This will be the first time Nintendo provides a balance system for users in Hong Kong since the Nintendo 3DS. However, HKG/TWN Nintendo 3DS systems do not have a Nintendo Network ID system, so a separate approach is needed if Nintendo were to allow funds merging.
