The first character in the Chinese names of the iQue "Swim" Box (共游盒) and "Swim" Controller (共游机) means "together". The second character means "to play".
So basically, the names state their use: Multiplayer gaming.
They have NOTHING to do with swimming.

The reason why these hardware were misnamed "Swim" might be a result of the verbs "to play" and "to swim" share the exact same character (游) in S. Chinese.Mon Feb 04 00:01:32 +0000 2019

Were they released, instant piracy would surely be unavoidable. Yet, were the games officially advertised in China, especially during an event with such high percentage of national participation, it could still make a big difference even if few people had bought the game. https://twitter.com/MetalMarioJSKR/status/1099896520575336448Mon Feb 25 05:02:25 +0000 2019
