If Nintendo thinks the switch is doing well in the Chinese region so they want to reprint their classics, they forgot one thing:
The 3DS region lock.
OOT 3D TC only runs on HongKonger/Taiwanese/iQue 3DS(XL)es, while the majority of Chinese-speaking 3DS users have the JP model.

Upon closer examination, this video was created by the court of Hunan province, and promoted by Supreme Court's account.

Doesn't differ fundamentally as this was still a video produced and approved by legal institutions in China.

I think it was the local court of a province in China trying to demonstrate their accomplishments in 2018.

The MAJORITY of Chinese people remember nothing about the iQue era.
So it's understandable.

Well, maybe except the iQue BA and DSes, but iQue's software (and any official names in them) were basically ignored.

The achievement of a provincial Court.

Chinese videogame media "TGBUS" claimed that the Supreme Court of China has been warned by Nintendo's Legal Department, and the offending video has been posted on Nintendo's "official Chinese account", @chinesenintendo.

This account is by no means operated by anyone at Nintendo.

Reminds me of this "Unrelated to Nintendo" trademark MariCar for.
I should make an equivalent banner too.

It might be possible that I did not clarify myself enough that I'm not an official Nintendo Account.
My Weibo bio used to be in English, but I forgot to change it into Chinese after I started posting in Chinese there.

It's fixed now.

A few people asked me why I named this account "Chinese Nintendo".

A few months before this account was made, I was following @japanese3ds for his excellent coverage of Japanese Nintendo news. I wanted to achieve the same goal with this account, but with Chinese news & HISTORY.

Like Japanese, Chinese is a difficult language to learn for English speakers, so it's hard for most of them to read news in their original language. Someone proficient in both languages would be able to provide good aid to those having difficulty obtaining foreign Nintendo news.

Recently, http://iquebrew.org was vandalized with all the English titles changed into "Toilet".

The vandal's account was permanently banned from iQueBrew and all traces of vandalism have been removed.

China had no Wii at all and Hong Kong/Taiwan had no active Wii Shop Channel.

The upside of having nothing in the first place is having nothing to lose. https://twitter.com/ninsoup/status/1090856557494132738

That is very true. I, as well as so many Chinese-speaking players, would have loved to play games in the Chinese language and relieve a nice library of retro classics & innovative WiiWare titles.
The iQue Wii could have saved iQue had it existed.
