It was registered by Nintendo, as all the other Mario names before. Also the trademark name didn't match any of the common ones.

Yes. Pic 3 and 4 is the SM3DL that works on HK/TW 3DS(XL) only.
Pic 1 and 2 is the version for Japanese 3DS series only.
